They’re endangered–because of many factors–not the least being the pet trade. I’d say this little bundle was probably purchased for someone’s amusement. Check out this website for more eye opening information: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/6731631.stm
Loris is really called a Loris. The owner/keeper hasn’t revealed it’s human-given nickname. Slow Loris is the type/genus of Loris. There’s another cousin called Slender Loris, that is more common.
Loris is a “Slow Loris.” The title of his films are called, “Slow Loris,” implying that the creatures name is Loris and it moves slowly, but the actual animal is called a Slow Loris.
I think he’s a type of lemur, which is a primate. he may be from Madagascar.
It’s a shame how beautiful animals like this cutie are being obliterated. It makes me want to scream. All because of greed and politics.
No, not from Madagascar, however it looks like one of the cute critters from the movie. They are normally found in: India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Thailand, southern China, Phillipines. Problem is they are endangered and are being shipped illegally to places they wouldn’t normally live.
Very cute, and a very sad reality regarding them being hunted…from Wikipedia:
“There are thought to be approximately one million[2] slow lorises in Asia, although they are hunted for their large eyes which are prized[3] for local traditional medicine”
This is the cutest thing evah!
Yes so cute. I also saw it today on GMA and just had to find this clip so I could watch it again. Adorable!
This is so sweet, so tender. What a cutie pie. He is highly endangered and illegal to own, I hope his habitat gets stronger protection.
my concern too……so cute but should never be a pet…..I hope these little sweeties are in these peoples care for good reason. What cuties!

Like all animals in this world, the loris has to be protected from the worst plague ever: humans.
It looks so sad when she stops tickling.
