Loris is really called a Loris. The owner/keeper hasn’t revealed it’s human-given nickname. Slow Loris is the type/genus of Loris. There’s another cousin called Slender Loris, that is more common.

It’s a shame how beautiful animals like this cutie are being obliterated. It makes me want to scream. All because of greed and politics.
No, not from Madagascar, however it looks like one of the cute critters from the movie. They are normally found in: India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Thailand, southern China, Phillipines. Problem is they are endangered and are being shipped illegally to places they wouldn’t normally live.
Very cute, and a very sad reality regarding them being hunted…from Wikipedia:
“There are thought to be approximately one million[2] slow lorises in Asia, although they are hunted for their large eyes which are prized[3] for local traditional medicine”
